US Seizes Crypto and 145 Domains in Major Darknet Takedown
The US Department of Justice has dismantled the darknet marketplace BidenCash, seizing cryptocurrency assets and 145 domains tied to its operations. The platform, active since March 2022, facilitated the sale of stolen credit card data and personal information to over 117,000 users.
Authorities confirmed the distribution of 15 million compromised payment card numbers, with administrators earning $17 million in revenue. Cryptocurrency used for illicit transactions was seized, though specific amounts remain undisclosed. The domains will now redirect to law enforcement servers.
